Recently, I took a short trip to a lovely part of Japan called Ise. The weather was very peculiar because it kept shifting from snow flurries to sunshine. Here, I’m enjoying the view overlooking a forest and bay:)

Today marks one month since the terrible Tohoku quake…for some reason the ground has been shaking allll day. Here, I am attempting to seek comfort on a concrete schoolyard mound!

Here I look out east where shakes and rays proliferate—from the warmth of a sunlit window—in a land once run by ninjas.

The “ume” or plum trees have begun blooming as the warmer days of spring roll in. Isn’t the bright pink a nice contrast to my dark fur?! I wonder if the petals also taste like plum?!!

The sweet taste of sunshine is something that must be appreciated. Chock full of vitamin D, it really has a way of pulling me through a chilly winter day!
